Valve as an important part of the pipeline system, to cut off or mediation medium flows in the pipeline system, plays an important role in fluid transport. The check valve is widely used in piping systems, in order to prevent normal pump shut down or power when a sudden crash, pipeline water hammer damage to the pipeline system. The mine drainage system plays an important role in mine safety production process, therefore, the research of mine drain pipe transient flow control and check valves is very important.In this paper, the general water supply pipeline water hammer transient process of transient flow theory are studied, water hammer formation mechanism and wave propagation are analysis when instantaneous close the valve, compared to water hammer characteristics for the mine drainage pipeline system accident to stop the pump process and general water supply pipes, pointed out that the root causes of the two kinds of water hammer is the same. With the mechanical laws of fluid motion and the continuity principle,establishment of mathematical equations which can full expression of the unsteady flow water hammer phenomenon. Derivation two basic equations of the water hammer equations of motion and the continuity equation which form the theoretical basis for solving the water hammer phenomenon. Introducing the characteristic direction, the first-order hyperbolic quasi-linear partial differential equations which describing the fluid line transient characteristics converted to the method for solving ordinary differential equations. Through establish the boundary conditions, establish Convenient for computer calculation pipeline water hammer mathematical model using the method of characteristics.Developt a hydraulic cylinder control check valve (referred as the controllable valve) for mine drainage high lift, more impurity and corrosive characteristics, using reasonable valve flow pattern and speed hydraulic cylinder system to manipulate the valve plate continuous shutdown process. Using solidworks modeling capabilities of CAD drawing software to create three-dimensional model for the controllable valve,and using MATLAB software analysis, the results showed that the use of the continuous close controllable check valve can effectively control the water hammer pressure rise. Using FLUENT simulation software of CFD commercial software to analysis controllable valve flow field,and compare with ordinary swing check valve simulation results show that the valve could reduce the flow resistance.
