A new flotation machine is named pressure slurry impact flotation machine which is put forwarded on the base of analyzing the mechanical agitation flotation machine and jet flotation machine structure, the way it works is completing mixing and taking air by a pressure source impacts blades instead of the motor drives the impeller rotation. Because the impeller is the core component of the new-style flotation machine, the study of the relevant parameters of the impeller can improve flotation performance of the flotation machine and reduce energy consumption. By using the similar principle, taking air compressor as the power source, and exploring the relationship between parameters and the impeller speed, the parameters which like the pressure, the flow, the number of nozzles and etc. Analysis the causes of the impeller rotation speed of three different blade shapes in the same working environment, to do a theoretical basis for the new style flotation machine to improve the speed and energy efficiency.The internal flow field of the new flotation machine was simulated by computational fluid dynamics software in this paper for studying the flow characteristics of the internal flow field and seeking the relationship between the impeller parameters and the internal flow field, which can make theoretical basis for impeller design and optimization. The main content of the paper are as follows:1) Using a different blade shapes and blade mounting angle of the impeller simulation to study what kind of shape stirring can make a better flow field for pressure slurry impact flotation machine, through the observation of their velocity vector diagram, velocity contour diagram and trace for analyzing the flotation machine’s internal flow field.2) Using four flow rates in the pressure slurry to study the relationship between the size of impeller speed and the distribution of the flotation machine internal flow field;3) Through setting the monitoring point to test the hydrostatic value of three impellers of different blade shapes formed in the four speed, and to compare these three intake air amount of the impeller by the size of the value of the inactive pressure value in static pressure, simultaneously through the curve of static pressure and velocity to judge the relationship between the impeller speed and the intake air volume. 4) By the size of speed, the merits of flotation machine internal flow field, the size of the amount of suction to distinguish above the three impellers, and to find a low energy consumption, large speed, good flow field, and impeller shape of moderate suction intensity, so that can achieve this new type flotation machine industrialized groundwork.
