Recently, mineral safety accidents happened so frequently,resulting hugeeconomic losses and casualties. Mineral monitoring system’s function is topredict and prevent mineral accident. Our government paid more and moreattention to its development. It is very important to design a safe wirelessmonitoring system against the danger of mineral source, which not only canreduce mineral accidents, but also increase the level of information, intelligence,and modernization for promoting the development of Chinese mineral intelligentmonitoring system.This paper researches and improves TinyOS operating system to solve thefollowing problems of mineral wireless monitoring system. Firstly, the existingmineral monitoring system in our country adapts wire communication of opticalfiber or network cable, which causes poor system flexibility at the end, high costand unable to monitor moving targets. The new combination of wireless sensornetwork and line communication network increases the flexibility of monitoringsystem, avoids wiring, and decreases the cost. Secondly, the high integration andautomation development of mineral monitoring system causes frequentconcurrent tasks, high task scheduling failure rate, easy network congestion andlow real-time. These are solved by the dynamic task-bicyclical adaptive taskalgorithm in TinyOS operating system. The algorithm in1400network nodes andwithin1000seconds, the packet loss rate is1.3%, and the task scheduling failurerate is maintained within10%.Thirdly,low transmission efficiency and high BitError Rate in mass data of video, voice and image in wireless transmission aresolved by designing the scheme of the header compression in TinyOS operatingsystem. The compression efficiency reaches about50%in127network nodes infour groups. Finally, this paper designs the hardware equipment in mineral wireless network monitoring system. It is used in testing the integrity of systemtransplantation, the change of network node storage space and energyconsumption, the dynamic task-bicyclical adaptive task algorithm and theheader compression applicable results finished.Practical test and simulation results show that improved TinyOS operatingsystem increases the mineral wireless monitoring system of the transmissionefficiency of wireless data, decreases the network node of energy consumption,and solves the problem of reliability of data transmission and network congestioncaused by frequent concurrent tasks.
