With the development of directional well, lateral drilling and horizontal welltechnology, multilateral wells technology has become a new drilling technology.Several petroleum reservoirs mining in a main shaft are achieved,multiple targets in amain well and stereoscopic exploitation are realized by multilateral wells technology.So, multilateral wells technology is considered as one of the most importanttechnologies in petroleum industry in twenty-first century. According to the technicalproblems of the multilateral wells technology of several location methods, systematicresearch on multilateral well fixing device is systematically researched based on thetechnology development and multilateral well technology.Considering the current situation of multilateral well technology in our country,the application environment of fixing device in environment TEML4completion ofmultilateral well is established, besides, the designing principles about new fixingdevices and the necessary technology requirements are formulated. According to thedesigning principles and technology requirements, one design scheme is confirmed.The superiority of this scheme is that position is accurate and reliable, strong bearingcapacity, no damage of casing damage and no change the borehole diameter and easyto operate.The design of fixing device is referred by the API5-1/2in (139.70mm) slim-holecasing parameters. The structural design of each part of the fixing device has beencompleted, including a movable body, a fixed body, fixing claw and a guiding partstructure design. The three-dimensional model of each fixing device component ofmultilateral wells is established using3D modeling software Pro/E.Combined with the multiple rigid body dynamics model by using Pro/E andADAMS, the specific drilling and completion technology and workover technology ofmultilateral wells fixing device has been developed, Simulation on undergroundworking behavior of the fixing device has also been finished. It verifies the feasibilityof the fixing device.
