Biological degradation of sugar beet pulp to produce cell protein with Aspergillus nigerand Saccharomyces have been studied in this paper. At frist, the conditions for productioncellulase of Aspergillus niger and the conditions for sugar beet pulp solid fermentation toproduce cell protein by Aspergillus niger were discussed. Then the parameters of mix-strainssugar beet pulp solid fermentation to produce cell protein was explored. All of these may besummarized as follows:Sugar beet pulp is the main by-products of the sugar industry. Its main component iscellulose, with a small amount of crude protein, and inorganic salts. In this paper, sugar beetpulp is study from two aspects.1. Optimal constitution and conditions of sugar beet pulp solid fermentation to producecellulase were studied. The results suggested that the optimum fermentation mediumcontained2%sodium nitrate as nitrogen source, added water.150%, nutrient solution pH9,inoculum concentration5%for6d. Under the optimized medium and fermentationcondition, the activities of CMC,FPU respectively reached7.58U/g and4.09U/g.when theconditions of solid fermentation is2.5%sodium nitrate as nitrogen source, added water200%,nutrient solution pH9,inoculum concentration7%for6d. Under the optimized fermentationcondition, the recruitment of Feed protein reached29.23%. It is increased by20percentagepoints than unoptimized.2. The mix-strain sugar beet pulp solid fermentation of Aspergillus niger andSaccharomyces had been studied, and a best kind of mix-strains ferment system had beenoptimized out. It showed that the Aspergillus niger was9%inoculated first, and theSaccharomyces was15%inoculated after1d of the ferment to proceed the mix-strain solidferment for5d.Under the best process condition, the gross protein content is30.97%, it isincreased by21percentage points compared to protein content of sugar beet pulp, it isincreased by1.74percentage points compared to the product that fermented only by theAspergillus niger. The optimal condition for extracting SDF from sugar beet pulp by subtraction were7%alkali concentration, water volume3:30; extracted at60℃for100min, the water maintenance ability, expansibility and ion exchange capacity argest of IDF respectively reached17.02%,12.5%and3.75mL.
