The promulgation and implementation of "Thermal power plant air pollutant emission standards"(GB13223-2011) had a great influence on the newly built or outdated thermal power plant in Jilin Province, In order to meet the environmental protection requirements of the new standard, the outdated thermal power plant should reduce the concentration of sulfur dioxide emissions by the way of technical renovating or newly building the desulfurization facilities facing; for the newly thermal power plant, the most efficient method is to improving the environmental standards in the design process by means of the latest desulfurization technology,, which can meet the new standard requirements on the concentration and emission of sulfur dioxide.The article comprehensively mastered the present application and characteristic of desulfurization process; meanwhile, the emission of sulfur dioxide had been investigated and detected in all coal-fired power plant of Jilin province. The analysis results shows that, between54boilers above360t/h in coal-fired power plant of Jilin province the number of boilers which concentration of sulfur dioxide emissions meet the new standard was35, accounting for64.8%of the total, the other19boilers could not meet to standard, accounting for35.2%of the total, the comprehensively analysis of the test data show that, the article put forward countermeasures to solve the sulfur dioxide standards for the thermal power plant of Jilin province, and present a way to solve the problem for reaching standard of sulfur dioxide emissions for the thermal power plant in Jilin province under the new standards.
