Since the end of the20th century, the concept of nano-technology is known gradually. At present, nano-materials has been more and more widely appeared in people’s actually work and life. And it has brought rapid changes to people’s life. In the past decade, because of its advantages of simple, general and easy to operate, electrostatic spinning technology has become the representative technology of preparation of nano-structure materials. Nowadays, the research of nano-structure materials has developed rapidly, and has been applied to nano-electronic devices, optical devices, sensors, biomedical and other fields.At present, the study on electrostatic spinning technology most concentrated on the solution electrospinning method. Due to the application scope is narrow that melt-electrospinning compared with solution electrospinning, and the equipment requirement of melt-electrospinning is high, the preparation of the fiber is thick, so the solution electrospinning method got the favor of more scientific workers. But melt electrospinning also has its unique advantages. One is that the melt electrospinning does not need solvent, avoid the risk of poisoning when use solvent and the damage to environment; Second is melt-electrospinning with high efficiency, and it will surely promote the industrialization of nano-fiber.Based on consulting a large number of books and literatures, this paper made a lot of experiments about a variety of polymer materials using melt electrospinning method. In this paper, the main work and achievements are as follows:(1) Through consulting relevant data and documents, design and assembly the melt-electrospinning machine using the vertical design which would be used in the experiments.Mainly includes the high voltage power supply, spinneret, heating device, receiving device,etc.The Voltage range is0-60Kv,heating device uses the three sections of heating,temperature control range0-400℃,receiving device adopts ordinary aluminium foil.(2) Through the experiments and study on several main factors that affecting melt electro-spinning experiments process, summarized some rules which included spinning temperature, spinning voltage, receiving distance, the spinneret diameter size, melt flow rate.The best conditions for PP polymer spinning in this experiment are that spinning temperature240℃spinning voltage35Kv,receive distance7cm,jet mouth diameter4mm.(3) Polar additives was studied in melt-electrospinning experiments,contains stearic and sodium stearate. The result is that the add polar additives can impact the fiber diameter. The spinning process became more smoothly, the preparation of the fibre diameter become more thin, but will cause fiber surface is not smooth.For that to join Si69,and found the join of Si69not only can make fibre diameter thinner, but also can make the diameter of the fiber more uniform.The smallest fiber diameter can achieved2.6μm.(4) At last, several commonly used polymer materials (LDPE, PET, PA, PLA and PCLS) were used in melt-electrospinning experiments. And the polymer fibers were made successfully. And it has made a contribution to the industrialization of the melt-electrospinning technology.
