| Heat exchangers are widely used in petrochemical industry and others, and shell-and-tube exchanger is the major type. The main connection method of heat exchange tube and tube sheet is tube-expanding. According to traditional tube expanding process, the tube sheet whose inside diameter is bigger than14mm should be slotted. We can optimize the tube expanding process and do as well as the traditional ways by changing the diameter of the shaft in the equipment in the condition of without slotting. The main achievements are as follows:Define the equivalent diameter and yield strength by theoretical calculation, then establish the mechanical model of the rubber tube expanding equipment,Define the coMPutational formula of expanding pressure, contact pressure and residual contact pressure by theoretical calculation. Then confirm the loaded pressure and the dimension of pressurized ring. It can offer the needed pulling-out force and sealing property.Simulate the process with Ansys according to theoretical calculation. Then coMPare the result of the simulation and calculation. They are basically the same. Do the experiment of rubber tube expanding and record the experiment data. It coincides with the result of calculation and simulation.We can calculate the dimension of pressurized ring which are suitable for other process according to the method of this paper. Aiming at the characteristics of the rubber tube expander, develop a new type of that, it can reduces the labor intensity of workers, iMProve the production efficiency. |
