With the development of technology, the demands for leather products are growing quickly.Quality requirements of leather products are increasing rapidly. But the development of leatherprocessing is still in the traditional and manual cropping or the simple semi-artificial andmechanical aids in China. The technology of the leather processing, in terms of efficiency, quality or utilization, has a significant flaw. The special motion control chips of NOVA havebuilt-in two-axis linear or circular interpolation and three-axis linear interpolation modules, convenient and dedicated IO interface, general-purpose input output modules and so on. It iseasy to operation and short period for product developing. The motion control system choosesDSP with the help of MCX314for leather cutting machine in this project. Sending command, state transitions, data communication with PC is completed by using the DSP. The completion ofthe pulse output, IO detection and encoder detection are completed by using the MCX314.An experimental platform of the motion control systems for leather cutting machine will bebuilt in this subject. Which will be considered as major object of research. The motion controlcard designed with the special motion control chip. The main principles of software design arehigh practicability, easy to maintain, high operability. The software system is designed by usingthe modular and hierarchical design ideas. Through debugging and experimental work, the resultof the experiment were analyzed and summarized. At the same time, this subject proposed a new dynamic estimated method for velocityestimating based on the common M/T method. This method was designed with FPGA for itspowerful digital processing ability. Feedback signals of the incremental photoelectric encoderwere quadrupled. The time constant, counting and other related modules were designed by usingthe verilog HDL programming language. The idea that the incomplete pulses were estimated byusing decimals was adopted. The velocity which was calculated by using the dynamic estimatedmethods should pass through a low-pass first order filter. The results indicate that no matterwhether velocity is low or high, this method improves the accuracy and reduces hysteresis, andthe hysteresis can be controlled in a certain range. Finally, the function of the Motion Controller, such as liner velocity curve, will be tested by using the dynamic estimated method for velocity estimating. The results indicate that the motioncontroller based on MCX314is stable performance and high reliability.
