| At present, the shortage and the pollution of water resource is appeared in China. The pollution is continuously serious, and its range is extending. The pollutants were difficult to be removed by conventional treatment technology. Therefore, the problem of micro-polluted source water treatment is urgent to be solved.This paper studied the effect of pollutant removal by zeolite biofilter. The Paper first analyzed the static adsorption capacity of zeolite, and then preliminary studied the start-up process of natural bio-membrane by using zeolite as filter. Ai last, the paper studied pollutants removal effect and its influences of zeolite bio-filter under the different work conditions. The main research contents are as follows:(1) The effect of absorption time, zeolite dosage and pollutant concentration was studied. The results showed that the absorption efficiency could reach the highest rate and keep stable after40min. The increasing dosage of zeolite beyond2g made no contribution to absorption capacity. Additionally, high concentration of pollutant would affect the absorption. Therefore, zeolite is a good choice for micro-polluted source water.(2) The results of processing single pollutant showed that the removal rate of arsenic could reach21.4%, whereas the removal rate of total phosphorus and fluoride were10.4%and7.8%, separately.(3) The results of processing mixed pollutants in micro-polluted source water showed that when the concentration of total phosphorus and fluoride was low, the influence of concentration on the removal rate of arsenic was not obvious, while the influence of hydraulic loading was more obvious. The increase of arsenic concentration affected the removal rate of total phosphorus and fluoride. |
