The delayed coking is an important process in the heavy oil processing. This thesis take delayed coking unit of Petro-china Dagang Petrochemical Company for instance, on the basis of process simulating of reaction and fractionation for delayed coking unit, the dynamic simulation training system is established. The paper mainly studied the modes of the primary equipment of the delayed coking unit such as the heating furnace, coke drum and the fractionation tower, choosed suitable soluting method.According to the coking reaction principle, heating furnace’s simulation is used simply model, the burning’s occurring and finishing are considered happening in the same time when fuel was brought into the furnace; Coke drum’s simulation: the reactions in coke drum were divided into fixing state reaction area and moving state reaction area. Model is established through describing simply to two areas’reaction separately; Fractionating tower simulation is used the modeling method. The main idea of that is according to the dynamic state character of transmission of gas state and liquid state. Fractionating tower can be divided into many sections. Each section would be abstracted as a fictitious theory standing. The gas state and liquid state of every standing can reach state equilibrium. Fractionating tower simulating is used subsection and nucleation way to establish fractionating tower model through flash vaporization.Through comparative analysis of the model’s computing result and the operation data of the equipment, which indicated, the model predicted value and the equipment actual production data are extremely close, the whole simulation process is good to reflect the real running conditions of delayed coking unit and it has the great dynamic character. The simulation training system has used successfully for the manufacturing worker to be trained and be assessed in the delayed coking unit of Petro-china Dagang Petrochemical Company, it obtains good result. If we can obtain more real running unit date and amend the mathematical model and its parameters, the simulation training system can be use to optimize the unit operation.
