Considering the importance of power supply and its load distribution in Daqing Refining&Chemical Company, we optimized the design of No.10Kaibi substation after analysis of electrical load. In the end, the busbar was conducted in sectionalized single-bus configuration so that flexibility and reliability of power supply can be highly improved. The section breaker is equipped with standby power source automatic put-in device as well as relay protection system. Also, short circuit current will be limited when section breaker disconnects the system. Electrical equipment and distribution network are connected in certain ways, obtaining electrical energy from power system.After the process of transformation, distribution, transmission and protection, the power will be finally transported to every related electric device safely, reliably and economically. It is crucial for us to think about lots of aspects when it involves optimization of substations. For example, we need to analyze functions and electrical load of each substation. Likewise, the set value of relay protection system should be calculated according to its load. In order to make sure of steady operation of substation, small current ground connection wire-selected device, fast switch unit, optical fiber differential protective system are accordingly applied to substations.Current differential protection is a good choice due to high sensitivity, which compares amperage of two sides and cut off fault voltage right away. At the same time, this protection has no response to power system oscillation and will not be affected by load current. With the development of computer protection technology and optical fiber communication technology, digital phase current differential protection with its unique advantages is replacing traditional current differential protection. Compared to traditional ones, fiber channel has the competence of anti-electromagnetic interference and transmission of large amounts of data, which can considerably facilitate filed service.With an aim to improve quality and reliability of power supply, we have applied SUE300fast switch devices manufactured by Xiamen Company to substations. This device can optimize the programs to switch from main busbar to standby busbar in shortest time, naturally avoiding the loss caused by production disruption.
