The emissions regulations is lenient in the early, could rely on the machine internalpurification technology to meet the requirements of the regulations. With theincreasingly strict diesel exhaust emission regulations, the machine outsidepurification technology has become indispensable, diesel particulate filter become oneof the most effective measures to control diesel particulate emissions. At present,Particulate trap has a rapid development, but has not far from reaching the point ofuniversal access. If only used the traditional test methods to study the particle trap, itwill consume a lot of manpower and material resources, and the design cycle is longer,the effect is also poorer. It will request the researchers to explore the theoreticalguidance method and accurately establish the simulation model of the particulate filter,so greatly reduces the pilot workload and improves the design efficiency.First, the paper built a wall-flow particulate filter simulation model on theGT-Power software platform. Respectively from seven trap structure parameters(filterdiameter, length of inlet channel, number of inlet port channel, the filtering wallpermeability, the trap porosity, pore diameter of the filter body, filter wall thickness)influencing the collection efficiency, pressure drop and quality of filter particles in thebody, the paper has carried on the detailed analysis and research.Secondly, YC4S160-40single cylinder diesel engine simulation model was set upby using GT-Power software. The paper calibrated the effectiveness of the proposedsimulation model and analyzed the YC4S160-40diesel engine Power, torque, fuelconsumption and exhaust emissions of PM.Finally coupled wall flow particulate trap and YC4S160-40couplingsingle-cylinder diesel engine simulation model and carried on the simulationcomputation of the whole engine system, Emissions of YC4S160-40diesel enginemounted on a wall-flow particulate trap particles had a very significant improvement.PM value of simulation calculations from the original41.71ppm reduced to1.85ppm,the collection efficiency is0.804. it had reached the PM emission limit requirementsBased on the experimental and simulation results, it determined the structuralparameters of the wall-flow particulate trap of YC4S160-40diesel engine.This article analyzed car diesel wall flow particulate filter, On the one hand itshows that the diesel engine with installing wall-flow particulate filter can improvethe PM emissions, so as to achieve national PM emissions requirements.On the otherside it provides some reference for the design and application of the particulate trapfor the engineering and design personnel.
