Highway serves the human society, and needs to meet characteristics oftraffic safety, environment friendly and low cost of society, which are affected byfactors of economy, safety, environment and technique, etc. However these factorsrestrict each other and how to balance them for choosing a reasonable route hasbeen plaguing the road workers. It is a traditional route selection method that theengineer choices many routes and compares over and over again. They onlyconsiders some factors but not all to select economic route. It is hard that theengineer choices a optimal route by using this way.This paper made a detailed analysis of affecting factors of highway route, andgiven the overall goals of route optimization by building the line selection ofmultiple objective decision-making problem. By identifying a certain area of thestarting points and terminal points, delimit the region of route corridor belt, authorconstructed a optimization model of plane and vertical section. According to theaffecting factors, the author introduced all kinds of cost models and determined theroute optimization of total objective function and optimization goal.Introducing genetic algorisms with the advantage of good global search fastand operating simple, author introduced the basic principle of genetic algorithmsand evolutionary mechanism, and analysed genetic algorithms application in routeoptimization. Using real number coding express route intersection points andgeneration plane curves at the points, then the program random finds slope elevationat the intersection points and assigns vertical linear. Next, the program calculatesobjective goal function and fitness value. Then the program is into the selection,crossover and mutation to generate new population.Based on the building optimization models and genetic algorithms, authorprogrammed a optimization program with the MATLAB platform. First usinghard2013discretized the route area digital terrain model, then puts these data intoprogram and random selects points for intersection points. The program automatizesto generating route information and calculating function value and fitness value, itgets the optimal solution and outputs through some times. At last, using road designsoftware presents output results, by analysis and summarizing verifies the validityand feasibility of the optimization theory.
