With the development of modern information technology, a new edge technologie virtualreality technology has been appear to our life. It’s well known as one of the most importanttechnology that affecting people’s life enormously in the21st century and its contents areasand used widely.In this paper, we start from the actual training from the excavator operators, and analysisof the the excavator operator deficiencies and shortcomings in the training process,considering the economic benefits of the training, the excavator simulation-based the Unity3dengines and virtual reality technology training platform. Through the analysis of the reality ofproject item in this article, first we make sure the system’s platform including the seat, then,according to the existing practice of software design and hardware platforms, we developsystem scene, collision detection algorithms, and so on. Among them, the collision detectionalgorithm in virtual reality system is the key to the system, this article has to be detailed. Inthis system through3dmax software achieve the excavator basic movements. Unity3dscripting make the motion of excavator in the scene and the realization of collision detectionalgorithm come ture.According to the specific research, we got the achievements as follows;(1) We got the feasibility and innovation of the project though the analysis of the virtualreality technology and virtual teaching instrument’s characters;(2) Completed the initial planning of the system content and logic for different users;(3) In this paper, we have achieve a specific method for the contents of the logic andsoftware of the system design;(4) With the engine of Unity3d, implemented excavator simulation training systeminterface, virtual environments and excavator sports game module...
