| Objective:To observe the symptom of ocular surface, corneal thickness, tear filmstability and astigmatism of children strabismus patients after squint correction bymicroscopy guided by corneal topography. Methods:In a prospective randomized sample controlled clinical study.Fortychildren(60eyes) strabismus patients were randomly divided into two groups:traditional limbal conjunctiva incision squint correction by microscopy(group A,n=20,30eyes); corneal topography guiding incision squint correction by microscopy(group B, n=20,30eyes). The vision, the symptom of ocular surface, Ocular SurfaceDisease Index(OSDI),tear film function and topography tests were performed at1day preoperativelyã€1week and2weeks postoperatively. Results:There were no significant difference for corneal astigmatism and othercorneal topography idex,, the symptom of ocular surface, OSDI and tear film functionwere found between two groups preoperatively(P>0.05). There were statisticallysignificance for symptom eyes, OSDI, break up time(BUT), Schirmerâ… test (ST),fluorescein staining(FL)and the height of tear meniscus at preoperative comparedwith the postoperative week1in both two groups (P<0.05), whereas no statisticallysignificance at preoperative compared with the postoperative week2in both twogroups (P>0.05). There were statistically significance for Km and astigmatism atpreoperative compared with the postoperative week1in group A(P<0.05), whereasno statistically significance at preoperative compared with the postoperative week1in group B(P>0.05). There were no significant difference for Km and cornealastigmatism at preoperative compared with the postoperative week1in both twogroups (P>0.05). There were statistically significance for ISVã€IHAã€IVAã€IHD atpreoperative compared with the postoperative week1in group A(P<0.05). Whereasthere were no significant difference for ISVã€IHAã€IVAã€IHD at preoperativecompared with the postoperative week1and week2in group B and the postoperativeweek2in group A(P>0.05). And there were no significant difference for Se3ã€Se3.5ã€Se4ã€Se4.5,Ie3ã€Ie3.5ã€Ie4ã€Ie4.5,Ne3ã€Ne3.5ã€Ne4ã€Ne4.5, and Te3〠Te3.5ã€Te4ã€Te4.5at preoperative compared with the postoperative week1and week2in both two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:Topography-guided squint correction by microscopy is a more favorablesolution for children strabismus patients, which can correct the corneal astigmatism, stabilize the tear film, mitigate the symptom of ocular surface and therefore improvethe visual quality. |
