Objective: To investigation the Nutrition and Inflammation status in thesubclinical hypothyroidism Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis(CAPD)patients. Method: In a cross-sectional study,80patients treated withperitoneal dialysis for at least3months were investigated. Thyroid functionalof all patients were detected, and based on which subjects were divided intothe subclinical hypothyroidism group and non-subclinical hypothyroidism group.Patients’ nutritional status evaluated by SGA, hand grip test, serum albuminand so no. hs-CRP was used to assess patient’s inflammatory state. Results:Among the80patients,30patients (37.5%) were subclinical hypothyroidism,and50cases (62.5%) not. Compared with non-subclinical hypothyroidism group, the malnutrition incidence of subclinical hypothyroidism group patient wassignificantly higher (24.0%vs.60.0%, P﹤0.01). There were significant lowerin the subclinical hypothyroidism group patient’s albumin level(30.99±3.70g/L vs.28.93±5.29g/L, P﹤0.05)、 hemoglobin level(113.60±18.34g/L vs.99.77±17.67g/L, P﹤0.01), left hand grip(183.00±85.81N vs.143.5±61.65N,P﹤0.05)、right hand grip(199.70±82.17N1VS162.83±69.07N,P﹤0.05)as compared to non-subclinical hypothyroidismgroup. In the subclinical hypothyroidism group, the prevalence of malnutritionin the group of high CRP was significantly higher than that in normal CRP group(92.31%vs.58.82%,P﹤0.05). Compared with the subclinical hypothyroidismgroup, the triglycerides level(2.16±1.52mmol/L vs1.31±0.75mmol/L,P﹤ 0.01)、cholesterol level(4.28±0.97mmol/L vs3.65±1.18mmol/L,P﹤0.05)weresignificantly higher than the non-subclinical hypothyroidism group. Conclusion: Our data showed that the subclinical hypothyroidism is a commoncomplication in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients. Thenutrition status of patients with subclinical hypothyroidism was significantlyhigher than the that without subclinical hypothyroidism. If the subclinicalhypothyroidism CAPD patients have inflammation state, the nutritional statusworse. The patients with subclinical hypothyroid were more easier to sufferingfrom dyslipidemia.
