Objective To investigate the effect about the patients with cervicalsponylotic in the treatment of single level ACDF preoperative adjacent segmentdegeneration factor to adjacent segment degeneration After ACDF. MethodsFrom August2006to August2010,50patients of Cervical Spondylosis receivedACDF were reviewed retrospectived.Observing postoperative adjacent segmentdegeneration about preoperative the adjacent segment degeneration group and nodegeneration group by comparison of preoperative and postoperative cervicalspine X-ray photography and MRI. Results The mean follow-up period was37.5months(range,24~72months).4patients lost follow-up.46patients92segments atfinal follow-up. According to Hilibrand degeneration grading standards, the rate ofadjacent segment degeneration for preoperative the adjacent segment degenerationgroup was50.0%,which was higher than that of no degeneration group (21.2%).There are significant differences in two gropes of degeneration rate(χ~2=8.42,P <0.05).25patients with MRI follow-up. According to Pearcedegeneration grading standards The rate of adjacent segment degeneration forpreoperative the adjacent segment degeneration group was54.5%,which washigher than that of no degeneration group (25.0%).There are significantdifferences in two1gropes of degeneration rate(χ~2=4.57,P <0.05). ConclusionsThe Cervical Sponylotic patients with preoperative adjacent segment degeneration factor is an important factor in accelerating adjacent segment degeneration aftersurgery. |
