| Dental plaster model diagnosis is an extremely important tool of clinicalorthodontic areas. The doctor can get an accurate assessment of diagnosis and treatmentby measuring and analyzing the three directions of the upper and lower dental arch ofthe patient’s dental cast. The plaster model storage management has many problems.Traditional manual measuring by the tools such as vernier caliper and universal anglefeet is difficult and inaccurate. For these reasons,3D dental plaster model will be able tosolve above problems. It can promote the popularization and application ofcomputer-aided diagnostic(CAD) technology in the field of Orthodontics, make ModernStomatology have the trend of digitization, visualization, precise, intelligent, and betterfor the majority of Orthodontics doctors and their patients.Current way to obtain3D dental data are mainly based on the laser spot scanning,structured light scanning, CBCT. There is no3D scanning product specifically for thedental model in the domestic market. We will develop a system to acquire andreconstruct3D digital dental based on multi-view stereo vision. An improvedself-calibration method is proposed to abandon the template. There are some advanceson the stereo matching algorithm to decrease bad points and occlusions.The system includes2CMOS digital cameras to capture dental images fromdifferent angles. In details, the image acquisition module, mainly design the imagingmodel and builds vision environment, captures dental images, sets camera parameters.Camera calibration module, propose an improved self-calibration method based cornerson the images to calculate the internal and external parameters of the cameras.Combining image coordinates, camera coordinates and real-world coordinates together,rectify images by epipolar constraint. Stereo matching module, propose a stereomatching algorithm based on the characteristics of the area and Brief Propagation (BP),form a dense disparity map. The3D registration and display module, splicing differentangle point cloud data into a complete dental model and reconstruct3D dental model. |
