Docosahexaenoic Acid has a variety of effect, such as improving development of brain cell,anti-aging,lowing blood presure,prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, inhibition of allergic reactions and so on. However, the weak stability limits their promotion and application; insolubility of water leads to hard use in water-media applications. Therefore, the physical or chemical modification for them is particularly necessary. The topic selected the DHA glyceride as the objects of study. Adopted the parmaceutic preparation to settle their lacks of water solubility and stability.To prepare DHA glyceride microcapsules by spray drying, and evaluate the quality of it. To investigate the influences of different prescription and preparation factors, with loading capacity and encapsulation efficiency as overall indicatrix. The optimal condition of preparation was as follows:Arabic gum and gelatin1:1,core/wall ratio=1:5,HLB11,the quality of Tween80and Span800.6g,V(water):V(acetone)=1:5, the amount of dissolvent was300ml, The temperature of the water bath was40℃,the time of stirring was1h, spray pressure was0.1MPa, inlet air temperature was150℃,outlet air temperature was60℃, air flow rate was0.42m3/min, feeding rate was8.3mL/min, the average loading capacity and encapsulation efficiency of microcapsules were (93.15±0.36)%and (13.68±0.31)%.Selecting different water-soluble wall material to prepare DHA glyceride microcapsules, To investigate the influences of different prescription and preparation factors, with loading capacity and encapsulation efficiency as overall indicatrix. The optimal condition of preparation was as follows:Arabic gum and water-soluble starch2:1, core/wall ratio=2:1, HLB11,the quality of Tween80and Span800.6g,V(water):V(acetone)=1:5,the amount of dissolvent was300ml, The temperature of the water bath was40℃,the time of stirring was1h, spray pressure was0.1MPa, inlet air temperature was150℃,outlet air temperature was60℃, air flow rate was0.42m3/min, feeding rate was8.3mL/min, the average loading capacity and encapsulation efficiency of microcapsules were (89.35±0.43)%and (14.37±0.53)%.The preparation of DHA microcapsules with spray drying has improved their water solubilities and stabilities, expanding their applications and life cycles. They presented great value. In addition, the spray-drying technology has good controllability, also it’s easy to achieve industrial-scale production.
