A Case-control Study Of Patient Compliance Of Methadone Mai Ntenance Treatment Clinics

Objective:To investigate the relationship of patient of general condition of demographic characteristic, mental condition, social support and treatment compliance in the methadone maintenance treatment clinics.Methods:A case-control study, using the World Health Organization Composite International Diagnostic Interview Version3.0(CIDI-3.0), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS), to screen and diagnosis the patient of nine of the methadone maintenance treatment clinics of the Kunming city, a total of426people. There is156people in case group that methadone maintenance treatment compliance is worse. There is270people in control group that methadone maintenance treatment compliance is better. Evaluate patient of general condition of demographic characteristic, mental condition and social support, analyzed to describe the related risk factors of worse treatment compl iance.Results:Diagnosis the total of16patient of the lifetime of the Major Depressive Disorder, there is10patient in case group, there is10patient in control group. Diagnosis the total of5patient of the12-month of the Major Depressive Disorder, there is2patient in case group, there is3patient in control group. Only diagnosis1patient of the30-day of the Major Depressive Disorder in control group. The control group compared to the case group may appear suicidal ideation, suicidal plan and suicidal behavior. The more scores the subjective social support and the total score of social support are, the better treatment compliance is. Multivariate non-conditional logistic regress analysis showed that patient who exist inoccupation (OR=2.610,95%CI (1.378-3.983)), currently using heroin (OR=3.468,95%CI (2.084-5.769)),the lifetime of the Major Depressive Disorder (OR=4.276,95%CI (1.222-14.961)),the sense of self hate:loss of confidence in myself (OR=1.164,95%CI (1.066-2.817)),disappointed to myself (OR=1.882,95%CI (1.300-3.323)), loss of interest in:the interest less than ever before (OR=1.709,95%CI (1.093-2.673)),loss of most interest (OR=2.895,95%CI (1.448-5.778)) is worse treatment compliance.Conclusion:Patient that methadone maintenance treatment compliance is better has a higher percentage of suicidal ideation. Patient of methadone maintenance treatment clinics who exist inoccupation, currently using heroin, the lifetime of the Major Depressive Disorder, the sense of self hate, loss of interest in may be the risk factors of worse treatment compliance.
