Analysis Of Resident’s Life Expectancy In Hefei City From2009to2010

Objective To understand resident’s life expectancy in Hefei and the impact of life expectancy which is resulted by the main cause of death, to provide a scientific basis for the development of disease control and health promotion strategies.Methods Demographic data and mortality data were collected from2009to2010in Hefei. Statistical analyses were conducted using Excel and SPSS software (version18.0).Results1The average life expectancy was85.21years in2009. The female’s life expectancy at birth was higher than male’s.Urban resident’s life expectance was lower than rural resident’s. The average life expectancy was77.95years in2009. The greatest impact on life expectancy was due to diseases of circulatory system. If diseases of circulatory system was removed, life expectancy would enhance14.47years and4.66years in2009and in2010, respectively.Conclusions he people’s health status has been improved these years. As the gradual change of death cause spectrum, cancer, diseases of circulatory system and other chronic non-communicable diseases are the main impact on life expectancy. To improve people’s life expectancy, health education should be undertaken to improve people’s heath awareness, and the morbidity and mortality of disease should be controlled.
