| Arctium Lappa L is a biennal herbaceous plants of Compositae. It is also called Rat glue,Gross contingent contingent sub, Morning Glory etc. Its root is very thick, fleshy, conical andits stem is erect, purple-brown and upper branches. It is widely distributed in the northeast,northwest and southwest areas. Fructus Arctii is the ripe fruit of Arctium Lappa L. Itsresistance is pungent and bitter. It could be used as medicine to evacuate of wind-heat, sorethroats, anti-inflammatory, detoxification and diuretic. Prescription can treat the symptomsafter the operation of lumbar disc herniation.Chemical composition of the Northeast Arctium Lappa L and Fr uctus Arctii werestudied in the subject. Firstly, the dried plants were be immersed in ethanol. Secondly, theextraction was concentrated in vacuum and the resultant brown extractum was dissolved insecondary distilled water. Finally, they were extracted with the petroleum ether, ethyl acetate,butyl alcohol, and then several kinds of distillate were obtained.After the separation and the extraction, twenty-three kinds of individual compounds hasbeen obtained by column chromatography, thin-layer chromatography, HPLC andrecrystallization etc. The structures of these compounds were elucidated identified as (1)Stearyl alcohol,(2) triacontanol,(3) heptadecane,(4) tetracosanol,(5) α-Palm Acid Oil,(6)Stearyl acid monoglyceride,(7) β-sitosterol,(8) ethyl linoleate,(9) Linoleic triglyceride,(10)Linoleic acid monoglyceride,(11) linoleic acid,(12) Caffeic acid,(13) Caffeic acid ethyl ester,(14) arctiin,(15) arctigenin,(16) appaol,(17) pinoresinol,(18) daucosterol,(19) sucrose,(20)hydroxyl phenylpropanol,(21) Oleanolic acid,(22) carbonic acid,(23) p-hydroxylphenylpropanol.The experiment shows that there are lots of the same compounds in Arctium Lappa L andFr uctus Arctii. It laid the foundation for further research, development and utilization of theresults. |
