Objective: To study the expression of CK19,VEGF and E-cadherin from papillarythyroid carcinoma and nodular goiter, and guide the clinical diagnosis and differentialdiagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid disease. Methods: The expression of CK19,VEGF and E-cadherin in tissues from35cases of papillary thyroid carcinoma and35cases of nodular goiter tissues was detected by Immunohistochemical staining. Results:The differences of expression of them in35cases of papillary thyroid carcinoma and35cases of nodular goiter were statistically significant (P<0.05).The differences of theexpression of them in papillary thyroid carcinoma tissue in gender, age, tumor size werenot statistically significant (P>0.05); the difference of expression of VEGF andE-cadherin in the papillary thyroid carcinoma tissue in lymph node metastasis and TNMstage was statistically significant (P<0.05);the difference of expression of CK19in thepapillary thyroid carcinoma tissue in lymph node metastasis and TNM stage was notstatistically significant(P>0.05);the differences of expression of VEGF and E-cadherin inthe nodular goiter tissue in gender, age and tumor diameter were not statisticallysignificant (P>0.05). The differences of expression in them in35cases of papillarythyroid carcinoma were not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion: The expressionof CK19,VEGF and E-cadherin in the papillary thyroid cancer and nodular goiter areuseful for their diagnosis and differential diagnosis. The expression of VEGF andE-cadherin in papillary thyroid cancer are closely related with invasion, metastasis andprognosis. The expression of them in papillary thyroid carcinoma have no relationship.
