The strain of lumber muscles is a common lumbar disease, which dues to the chronic and repeated improper exercise or excessive fatigue and less of rest, or the poor recovery and rest of the injured person that leads to the lumber fatigue. It is a kind of accumulative chronic lesions with no obviously positive signs in clinical examination and only with the partial tenderness of patients. Lumbar muscle strain is a kind of common and frequently-occurring disease, which often occurred in middle aged and elderly people. In recent years, the incidence of the young and the middle-aged presents an upward trend. Then to analyze the curative effect after a course of treatment through strict inclusion, exclusion and rejection of the patients, and to give follow-up observation in four months, five months and six months after the treatment. Results: the curative ratio of the strain of lumbar muscles with the treatment of massage combined with exercise rehabilitation is73.75%, and the total effective rate is up to95%. In the curative effect evaluation of the improved symptoms and signs of the pre-treatment and the post-treatment, this method of treatment has an obvious effect on easing the patients’ pain, recovering the low back muscle, and improving patients’ mental condition and their daily life. This kind of treatment has no side-effect on patients and is safe and reliable. The disease recurrence rate had significant statistical difference in the four, five and six months’ follow-up observation.(p<0.05)Conclusion: the curative effect of the massage combined with the exercise is specified. In addition to the security and no side effects of the treatment, the recurrence rate is low. Therefore, this treatment could apply to use extensively.
