| Chronic lymphocytic inflammation with pontine perivascularenhancemen responsive to steroids (CLIPPERS) was first reported in2010by Pittock. The major clinical characteristics are gait ataxia, diplopia,sensory disturbance, dysarthria. Brain contrast enhancement MagneticResonance Imaging(M RI) revealed punctiform or nodular enhancementlesions on pontine, cerebellum and midbrain, some patients involve inbasal ganglia and spinal cord. After high dose glucocorticosteroids treatmentand then long-term immunosuppressive therapy, the patient’s symptom canbe effectively controlled, and the imaging findings can be also improved.Since the first time reported in2010,CLIPPERS were reported40cases sofar at abroad, reported only1case at domestic. Here, we summarized theclinical, pathology, imaging, therapy,and outcome of all the cases,in orderto elevate the understanding of the CLIPPERS syndrome, Conducive toearly clinical diagnosis and therapy, improve the prognosis of patients andincrease life quality of patients. |
