| ObjectiveTo measure and analysis body composition indexes of patients were diagnosed with type2diabetes by using bioelectrical impedance. Besides, the changes of body composition characteristics of patients with type2diabetes in different periods will be explored. Hopefully, the study is valuable for providing a theoretical basis about clinical medicine and rehabilitation medicine.MethodIn the case of informed consent, selecting216type2diabetic patients who were diagnosed by Liaoning Medical University First Affiliated Hospital of Endocrinology. According to the situation whether there are complications, patients were divided into two groups:Case of early diabetic group (early group) and chronic complications of diabetes group (complication group). Besides,232cases healthy adults were randomly selected as control group. Bioelectrical impedance analyzer was used for the measurement and analysis the index about height, weight, body fat percentage, fat mass, muscle mass, body composition. The resulting data input to SPSS statistical analysis software for calculation and compare the changes of the body composition characteristics about type2diabetes in different periods.Results1. Body mass measurementsWeight for normal male group is higher than the early group and the complication group, however, there are no significant difference between groups; Normal group of fat-free mass is higher than the early group and complication group, there are significant differences between the normal group and the complication group (P<0.05); The index of weight and lean body mass for female early group were higher than normal and complication group, there are significant differences between these groups(P<0.05).2. Body water content measurement resultsThe index of body water and intracellular fluid for male normal group are higher than the early group and complication group, there are significant differences between the normal group and the complication group (P<0.05). However, the indicators have no difference with the early group; The extracellular fluid of the normal group have no difference between the early group and complications group; Body water for female early group is higher than the complication group and the normal group, there are significant group differences between the early group, the normal group, Normal group and complications of differences (P<0.05); Intracellular fluid for the early group is higher than the complication group and the normal group, there are significant group differences between the early group and complications group, the normal group and normal group (P<0.05).3. Bone mass and protein measurementsBone mass and proteins for male normal group is higher than the early group and the complication group, there are significant differences between the normal group and the complication group (P<0.05); Bone mass and proteins of a group for female early group is higher than the normal and complication group, there are significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).4. Fat content and body fat measurement results(1) Fat content and body fat measurement resultsFat for male early group is higher than the complication group and normal group, however, there are no significant differences between groups. Trunk fat mass for complication group is higher than the early group and the normal group, however, there are no significant differences between groups. The left, upper right, lower extremity fat for early group are higher than the complication group and the normal group, there are significant differences between the early group and the normal group (P<0.05); All the indicators for female complications group are higher than the early group and the normal group(P<0.05). The left lower limb fat mass for normal group is higher than the early group and the complication group, there are significant differences between the normal group and the complication group(P<0.05); The right lower limb fat mass for the normal group is higher than the early group and the complication group, there are significant differences between groups (P<0.05).(2) fat measurement resultsAll of the indicators for male early group are higher than the complication group and normal group, there are significant differences between groups (P <0.05); All of the indicators for female complications group are higher than the early group and the normal group, there are significant differences between groups (P<0.05); Body fat rate and left lower limbs fat mass for complications group are higher than the normal group and the early group, there are significant differences between the normal group and the complication group differences(P<0.05); Trunk fat mass, the left upper limb fat mass and right upper limb fat mass for early group are higher than the normal group and the group of complications, there are significant differences between groups (P <0.05).5. Muscle content measurement resultsMuscle mass for male normal group is higher than the group of complications and early group, there are significant differences between groups (P<0.05); The muscles of the torso and four limbs for the normal group were higher than the complication group and the early group, there are significant differences between the early group and the normal group (P<0.05); Muscle mass, trunk muscle, four limbs mass and the left and right lower extremity fat for female early group are higher than normal and complication group, there have significant differences (P<0.05).6. The results for the evaluation of each indicator about body composition by using body composition analyzerBody mass index evaluation for male, the early group and complications group does not appear underweight; In the evaluation of the percentage of body fat, the index of complication group does not appear too low; In the evaluation of muscle mass ratios, the index of complication group does not appear too low; In the evaluation of the amount of trunk muscles, the index of the complication group does not appear substandard; In the evaluation of left and right muscle mass, the index of the early group does not appear substandard; In the evaluation of the trunk fat percentage and left, upper right lower extremity fat ratio, the index of the complications group does not appear substandard; Body mass index evaluation for female, the index of complications group does not appear underweight; In the evaluation of percentage of body fat, the index of the complication group does not appear too low; In the evaluation of muscle mass ratios, the index of complication group does not appear too low; In the evaluation of left and right upper limb muscle mass, the index of the complication group does not appear substandard.ConclusionThere are significant differences of body composition indexes between the groups. Exploring and studying the changes of body composition characteristics for patients with type2diabetes in different period is valuable for providing a theoretical basis about clinical medicine and rehabilitation medicine. |
