objective: To discuss the significance of dynamically monitoringestradiol(E2)and progesterone(P) during the early pregnancy. Methods: Retrospective analysis which included312women wasdone to the serum E2and P levels during their early pregnancy. Womenwere divided into the continuous pregnancy group (n=280) and theinevitable abortion group (n=32). The sensibilities and specificities of E2and P were analyzed on predicting the inevitable abortion.Result:1) The E2levels of the continuous pregnancy group and theinevitable abortion group were448.55±253.29pg/ml and304.79±161.32pg/ml respectively in35-45days’ gestation (P<0.01) The serum E2level ofthe continuous pregnancy group increased rapidly and was positivelycorrelated with pregnancy time (r=0.822, P<0.01),and its growth rates inevery period of the early pregnancy time were higher than that in theinevitable abortion group (P<0.01); The growth rate in continue pregnancygroup was higher than the inevitable abortion group (P<0.01);2) The serum P value of35-45days’ gestation was between17.3ng/ml and40.6ng/ml in the continue pregnancy group, and between8.32ng/mland40.5ng/ml in the inevitable abortion group. The serum P level in thecontinue pregnancy group is relatively stable and increased slightly;3) The sensibilities on predicting the inevitable abortion were96.77%、87.1%、74.2%(P<0.01or P<0.05),specificities were88.75%,93.75%,92.5%respectively(P>0.05),and accuracies were91.0%,91.9%and87.4%respectively (P>0.05).Conclusions: The E2+P determination is a reliable indicator to predictinevitable abortion, it can avoid the influence of premature and frequent Bultrasound examination to embryo and missed abortion, and can berecommended in clinical monitoring in early pregnancy...
