Objective:To explore the expression of Signal transducer and activator oftranscription-1and Cyclooxygenase-2in non-small cell lung cancer, andanalyzed the relationships of STAT1and COX–2among the patientage, pathological classification, degrees of differentiation and gender innon-small cell lung cancer. Explore the roles of STAT1and COX–2in thegrowth and metastasis in non-small cell lung cancer.Methods:Collect60specimens of non-small cell lung cancer patients whounderwent surgical resection at the affiliated hospital of Luzhou MedicalColeldge from May2012to October2012, also collect30specimens of normallung tissues as a control group. All selected objects had no other lung diseases, without preoperative chemotherapy, radiation therapy before operation.Pathology classification were detected by Hematein-Eosin staining; express ofSTAT1and COX-2in the non-small cell lung cancer and normal lung cancertissue were detected by the immunohistochemical staining; analyzed thecorrelation between STAT1and COX-2in the age, histological type, gender, cell differentiation of non-small cell lung cancer patients.Results:①Compared with normal pulmonary tissues, expression ofSTAT1and COX-2in the non-small cell lung cancer tissues were increasedsignificantly (P<0.05);②Compared with Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ stage, the expressions of STAT1in I stage of NSCLC were increased significantly (P<0.05);③Compared with Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ stage, the expressions of COX-2in I stage ofNSCLC were decreased significantly (P<0.05);④The expressions of STAT1and COX-2in the lung cancer tissue were not related with the patientage, pathological classification, degrees of differentiation and gender (P>0.05);⑤The Spearman rank correlation analysis indicated that STAT1andCOX-2were negative related, r=0.718(P <0.5).Conclusions:①STAT1and COX-2were involved in the formation ofnon-small cell lung cancer;②STAT1and COX-2were associated with theprogress of non-small cell lung cancer;③STAT1and COX-2in the process ofnon-small cell lung cancer may have antagonistic effections.
