OBJECTIVE:To fabricate the hydroxyethyl chitosan-g-poly-L-lactic acid(HECS-g-PLLA)and hydroxyethyl chitosan-g-PLLA+type â…¡ collagen (the HECS-g-PLLA+typeâ…¡ collagen) composite scaffold for tissue engineering, and characterization anddetermination of properties.METHODS:The HECS-g-PLLA and HECS-g-PLLA+collagen type â…¡ collagen polymers wasprepared by thermally induced phase separation method, and then used the tabletingmachine to press, seting different atmospheric pressure to compress compositescaffolds with different performances. The micro-morphology, infrared spectra, compressive modulus, porosity of the scaffold.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The morphology of composite scaffolds showed a porosity submicroscopicstructure combined nanometer, micrometer structure. The infrared spectra show thechitosan successful hydroxyethylation and hydroxyethyl chitosan and PLLApolymerizate successful. With the increase of atmospheric pressure of the tabletingmachine setting, the compression modulus of the samples is enhanced, but the porediameter is gradually reduced, according to the need to produce a variety of differentproperties of the composite scaffolds.
