Preliminary Analysis Of Serum Oxytocin Levels In Assisted Reproductive And Pregnancy Outcomes

Objective: Comparative analysis of the natural cycle with controlled ovarianhyperstimulation cycle of infertile women in serum levels of oxytocin. Comparedifferent treatment outcome in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) womenserum levels of oxytocin. This study attempts to find an impact on the outcome ofpregnancy serum oxytocin, and provide a theoretical basis for clinical work.Methods:50patients who due to infertility accept natural cycle follicularmonitoring and110patients who accept IVF or ICSI treatment for the first time fromSeptember1,2012to January31,2013in Dalian City Maternity Hospital, Center forReproductive Health. For women follicle monitoring, the serum levels of oxytocin onthe seventh day after ovulation was analyzed. For women line IVF-ET, the serum levelsof oxytocin on the day of HCG administration, the embryo transfer and the day4ofembryo transfer was analyzed. Compare of the serum levels of oxytocin on the seventhday after ovulation with the fourth day after transplantation. According to the serumHCG levels and ultrasound diagnosis,110patients who accept IVF or ICSI treatmentdivided into pregnancy and non-pregnancy group,were compared in serum levels ofoxytocin. ROC curve analysis evaluation of three time points serum oxytocin valuepredictive value for treatment outcome in IVF-ET.Results:（1）Serum oxytocin level on the fourth day after transplantation issignificantly higher than the seventh day after ovulation（P<0.05）.(2) the non-pregnancygroup oxytocin concentration on the day of HCG administration, the embryo transferand the day4of embryo transfer is remarkable higher than it in pregnancy group（P<0.05）。（3）Detect the day of HCG serum oxytocin value by ROC curve，the areaunder the curve was0.636, day of HCG serum oxytocin value used to determine thepregnancy has a significant (P=0.018) and its predict the optimum threshold is61.02pg/ml. Conelusions: Serum oxytocin level on the fourth day after transplantation issignificantly higher than the seventh day after ovulation. Pregnancy rate of patients whoaccept IVF or ICSI treatment and have high serum oxytocin levels is low.It suggestedthat was probably an important reason for implantation failure. The serum levels ofoxytocin can be used as one of the indicators predict IVF-ET treatment outcome. Serumoxytocin patients with the higher the value, the greater the possibility of pregnancy. Forthe patients whose serum oxytocin on the day of HCG is higher than61.02pg/ml, thepregnancy rate was significantly reduced.
