| Objective: In this paper, a Class Ⅱ in pubertal peak adolescent patientsweretreatment with SWA technology and head gear extraoral force,Correction process usingthe inclined bite-plate,to investigate the head gear extraoral force effect of maxillary,theinclined bite-plate functional appliance influence of mandibular, the improve of thecephalometric situation.Methods: Select adolescents in the growth and development of peak class Ⅱmalocclusion patients in this study, male, age15years old, Han.The position of themaxillary and mandibular is normal on the sagittal, but the relative position betweenthem caused by the ANB angle increased the bone two types of malocclusion, whichmeans that the upper jaw relative development of strong and the lower jaw relativeunderdevelopment,the upper and lower jaw does not match.Both sides of the caninesand molars were ClassⅡrelationship.The San gap of maxillary was about1.5mm.Thelower midline was left side approximately1.5mm..The second molar of maxillary wasnot yet erupted.The position of the posterior maxillary was normal.Upper and lowerwith SWA technology.The head gear extraoral force was pushed maxillary molarsdistally to correct the molar relationship and limit the development of themaxillary.Row and leveling flat maxillary dentition.With the maxillary inclined biteplate stimulate mandibular development.Cephalograms taken before and after treatment,combined with Tweed, wylie, Downs, Steiner analysis, select Peking University Comprehensiveanalysis and soft tissue measurements represented by the project, a total of28, the changes observedbefore and after treatment.Results: Orthodontic treatment of was22months.The analysis and comparison ofbefore and after treatment: molar and canine relationship by far was transformed to neutral.Deepoverbite and deep cover lifted to achieve the normal position.SNA decreasing by1°,the SNBincreasing by1°, ANB increased by2°. Mandibular plane angle was not chang almost.(MP-SN was46°before, correction to46.5°. MP-FH45°correction unchanged).The lip protrusion wassignificant improved, convex becoming convex face type. Patients and parents have been verysatisfied.Conclusion:1.Head gear extraoral force could inhibit the development of themaxillary and change the maxillary rotation direction,inhibition of the clockwiserotation of the maxillary.2.SWA with maxillary inclined bite-plate could stimulate themandible development in the growth and development of young people, to improve thefacial type. |
