Objective:The role of correlation between the expressions of eIF3a and P27in predicting the platinum chemo-resistance and prognosis in epithelial ovarian cancer.Methods:clinical data of49cases with epithelial ovarian cancer were retrospectively Analyzed, and the expressions of the eIF3a and P27were detected in paraffin of the cases by immunohistochemistry (SP method).Results:1. the positive rate of eIF3a protein expression was14.2%in platinum-based chemotherapy resistant group epithelial ovarian cancer, less than sensitive group for85%,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).2. the positive rate of cytoplasmic expression of eIF3a in platinum resistance-group was51.7%,more than platinum-sensitive group for40%,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).3. the positive rate of P27protein expression was38.1%in the platinum-based chemotherapy resistant group, less than the sensitive group for95%,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). 4. the positive rate of cytoplasmic expression of eIF3a in platinum resistance-group was37.9%,more than platinum-sensitive group for15%,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).5. The expressions of the eIF3a. and P27is a positive linear correlation in epithelial ovarian,and relation coefficient counts0.388.6.The higher the intensity of eIF3a expression,the longer the survival time, and nucleus expression do has a better prognosis than cytoplasmic expression, both is longer than the none-expression group; The higher the intensity of P27expression,the longer the survival time, and nucleus expression do has a better prognosis than cytoplasmic expression, which is also shorter than none-expression group;Conclusions:The high and nucleus expressions of the eIF3a and P27may become an effective indicator which predicte platinum chemo-therapy resistance and prognosis collaboratively in the epithelial ovarian cancer in the future.
