To provide more data for creating the knee anatomy database of the people and for selecting artificial joint prosthesis in our region by establishing the database of knee-joint anatomic parameters of the Population in Shaoyang and Loudi of Hunan.Methods Fifty three volunteers’ knee-joint were scanning by using CT-scanner, the three-dimensional images were reconstructed by using Mimics10.01software. Then, the anatomic parameters were measured by "Measure3D Distance" and "Measure3D Angle" tools of Mimics software. Database software SQL Server2012was used to set up the anatomy database, and followed by using SPSS18.0software to analysis the data.Results Eighteen anatomic parameters were significant deviation when group by sex except both left and right side of the width of intercondylar notch as well as posterior slope angle of tibial plateau (p<0.05). But, there were only the width of the left lateral femoral condyle and the width of the left patella showed significant different when grouped by age (p<0.05), and there were no significant different when grouped by left and right knee-joint or body mass index (p>0.05).Conclusion1.Mimics software is a useful software for CT3-d image reconstruction in creating Knee anatomy database;2. In Shaoyang and Loudi area of Hunan, male left and right femoral intercondylar fossa width is larger than females, female left and right lateral tibial plateau slopingangle is greater than males, however, which are not statistically significant; the rest of the measured parameters males were significantly larger than females;3.20to40year-old age group width of lateral femoral condyle and length of patella is greater than of41to60year-old age group;4. No significant measurements of anatomic parameters were found between right and left knee;5. Measurements of knee anatomy parameter of normal group and slim group were no stastically signifcant.
