Objective: Combine the Biochemical index (serumβ-HCG) and radiographicindex (ultrasound) from the perspective of evidence-based medicine (EBM) toevaluate the value of it in ectopic pregnancy diagnosis.Method: Analyze the clinical data of the358suspected ectopic pregnancypatients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Jilin University from January1,2010toJuly1,2012, whose gestational week is5-7weeks, and apply the SASS9.0softwarefor statistical analysis of those data.Result: The age of those patients are from17to45, with the average age of29.47±6.68and average gestational week of5.57±0.55. Through operation,pathological and transvaginal ultrasound examination as well as serumβ-HCGanalysis,80of them are diagnosed as normal pregnancy,82of them natural abortionand196of them ectopic pregnancy. The comparison of gestational week among thenormal pregnancy group (6.02±0.36), the natural abortion group (5.81±0.34) and theectopic pregnancy group (5.27±0.49) is insignificant in statistics (p>0.05). Under thesame condition (5-7gestational week), the serumβ-HCG analysis of the normalpregnancy group (1252.07±189.01IU/L) is much higher than that of the naturalabortion group (900.50±192.22IU/L) and that of the ectopic pregnancy group(824.63±229.02IU/L), which is significant in statistics (p<0.05), while thecomparison of the serumβ-HCG analysis between the latter two groups alone isinsignificant in statistics (p>0.05). According to the ultrasound diagnosis, thethickness of endometrium of the normal pregnancy group (11.33±0.77mm) is higherthan that of the natural abortion group (7.93±1.22mm) and that of the ectopicpregnancy group (6.69±1.49mm)(p<0.05), while the comparison of the latter two groups alone is insignificant in statistics (p>0.05). The detection rate of theserumβ-HCG alone is45.9%, the detection rate of the endometrium thickness alone is51.0%, while the detection rate of the combination of the two is98%(p<0.05),despite of the specificity and sensitivity of different examinations in diagnosingectopic pregnancy.Conclusion: Among the various methods adopted to diagnose ectopic pregnancy,the image index is the most effective, as it can provide visual diagnosis. Moreover,ectopic pregnancy can be better diagnosed with the Serumβ-HCG analysis.
