Objectives:1、Evaluate the level of self-efficacy, psychological state of patients with apermanent colostomy.2、Research the correlation of self-efficacy and psychological state of patientswith a permanent colostomy.3、Explore interventions of enhancing self-efficacy, establish reasonableintervention model.4、Investigate the effects of self-efficacy intervention on the psychological stateof patients with permanent colostomy.Methods:During June2012to December2013, selected68cases of permanent colostomypatients who were in the First Hospital of Jilin University stomach and SecondDepartment of Colorectal Surgery Colorectal&Anal Surgery as the research subjects,randomly divided into intervention group of35cases,33cases in the control group.The control group received routine care only, the intervention group in addition toroutine care, given a three-month self-efficacy intervention, once a day duringhospitalization,30-45minutes everytime; after discharge mainly given telephoneintervention,30minutes every time, within the first month once a week, a total of4times; the second month after discharge once every two weeks, a total of2times; thethird month after discharge intervention1time, the main contents include theaccumulation of psychological counseling, successful experience, introducessuccessful experience of others, social support systems, and give appropriate andeffective intervention measures based on patients’ feedback, etc. In four days aftersurgery and three months after discharge, apply the stoma related self-efficacyquestionnaire and Symptom Checklist90(somatization, depression, anxiety) toevaluate the patients. Using SPSS17.0statistical software for statistical analysis ofdata. Result:1、The majority of patients in the medium level of self-efficacy, score76.71±25.90points, the social efficiency, confidence in the sex life and confidence in sexualsatisfaction level are relatively low.2、Patients with somatization score of1.66±0.49, depression score was1.88±0.76, anxiety score was1.70±0.68, higher than the national norm, p<0.05, thedifferences were statistically significant.3、The presence of the stoma related self-efficacy scores and the socialself-efficacy negatively related to the SCL-90scores and anxiety, depression.4、After the intervention compared two groups of scores of generalself-efficacy, two scales and six items, the intervention group improved significantlybetter than the control group, p<0.05, the differences were statistically significant;intervention group compared before and after the intervention itself, the scores afterintervention improved significantly better than before, p<0.05, the differences werestatistically significant.5、Somatization, depression, anxiety score difference in the intervention groupbefore and after intervention were4.76±5.63,5.48±6.69,4.24±5.99, were higherthan the control group,2.07±1.57,1.87±1.55,1.13±1.38, p<0.05, and the differenceswere statistically significant.Conclusion:1、The majority of patients in the medium level of stoma related self-efficacy,the social self-efficacy, confidence in the sex life and confidence in sexualsatisfaction level are relatively low.2、Permanent colostomy patients with obvious anxiety and depression.3、Higher levels of self-efficacy in patients with a permanent colostomy, lessdepression and anxiety and other negative emotions.4、Self-efficacy intervention can effectively improve the patient’s level ofself-efficacy, significantly reduce the level of anxiety, depression, and promote thepsychological state of patients.
