| ObjectiveTo explore the decision making process and impact factors on umbilical cord blood storage among pregnant women in more than36gestational weeks.MethodsHurrsel’s phenomenological methodology was applied to conduct this study.Purposive sampling was adopted to find15pregnant women.After the informed consent was obtained.Non-structure interview was conducted with audio tape.Data was transcribed verbatim,and then analyzed the transcripts using Colaizzi’s descriptive phenomenological method.ResultsThrough reading,analysis,reflection,separation and theme refinging,four themes were drawn:①lack of knowledge;②problems in prenatal education;③concerns about cord blood storage;④personnel factors. ConclusionStrengthen education of cord blood knowledge in pubilc; establish the correct cognition about the meaning of cord blood storage and recommendations to improve the process of cord blood donation. |
