Background and purposeCurrently, the problem of population aging in our country is increasinglyprominent, present "not rich first old","inversion" urban and rural areas, and thephenomenon of "more women than men", in the process of population aging, as thelife expectancy than men, women, the aging of the population, the mouth of theproportion of women in the elderly, the higher the rural elderly aged60and abovewomen in China has more than40million, in the next10years, the number of olderwomen will increase sharply, and to the development of aging., on the other hand,because our country reproductive health related distribution of health resources is notbalanced, leading to rural areas, especially the western rural areas related toreproductive health service resources relative shortage, make due to the constantgrowth of the aging of the contradiction between the large number of older womenwith reproductive services continuously outstanding, this contradiction in theeconomic and cultural development level is relatively backward western ruralperformance is more apparent. In the western region of reproductive health servicesis relatively weak, the rural elderly people own cultural accomplishment,reproductive health care knowledge, medical accessibility, medical insurance, etcfactors than cities, rural medical level and lower than the city. Therefore,middle-aged and old women should be attention in western rural regions.Research purpose is to understand the western rural areas60-75year old femalereproductive health cognition status; To explore the reproductive health relatedfactors affecting the relationship.Data sources and methodsIn this paper, the data from the Project supported by the National NaturalScience Foundation of China (Grant No.81102142)。In the western rural areas by way of questionnaire,60-75-year-old old woman: basic information, including age, nationality, residential areas, marital status,production status), knowledge, attitude and behavior, demand, and reproductivehealth services accessibility services satisfaction survey, analyze the survey data anddescriptive study.ResultsThe poll surveyed1010people in total, involving two counties,68village10villages and towns. Age does not conform to the people, qualified object for988people. Basic for subjects with an average age of about66years old, the hannationality. Survey have menopause, the average age of menopause about49yearsof age; Respondents cultural level is generally low, illiterate/semiliterate exceeds60%, primary school culture accounted for only less than6%, junior high school,high school culture accounts for only about6%; About55%of the respondents alsoengaged in the farm work in the field of labor, of which about21%of the totalnumber of investigation are still engaged in heavy physical farm work, except forhousewives and work, do business thereof, it is worth noting that9.4%of peoplehave lost labor ability; Look from respondents personal disposable income, more isnot optimistic,988by10.5%of respondents (104people) have no revenues, on theeconomic depend entirely on family; Nearly66%of the people I disposable incomeis less than5000yuan; From the point of knowledge, respondents understanding ofreproductive health knowledge is generally low; From attitude, nearly90%of therespondents think that the "got" ladies to see ", only about8%of people wanted tosee, but no money; From related behavior, most of the respondents to underweardrying in "special clothesline or put the"(about96%), with "separate towels andbowl cleaning down (about73%), with well water, tap water or water to cool thecleaning (over99%). In addition, becauseolder women economic dependence of family members, also makes them for selfautonomy is influenced by a certain of reproductive health promotion. Therefore, itis necessary to strengthen in the rural elderly reproductive health knowledgepropaganda and education, emphasize the participation and support of his family;Try to tilt in health care system for older women, a further guarantee thereproductive health rights and interests.
