Objective: Learn infant neuroblastoma incidence, treatment and prognosis, andexplore how to improve the quality of life of the baby and neuroblastomaprognosis.Methodology: In this article, we reviewed and analyzed13infants who hadNeuroblastoma from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical Universityfrom January2007to January2014. We statistical analysis of registered cases ofgender, age, clinical features, tumor size, primary tumor and metastasis, clinicalstage, treatment methods, and through follow-up analysis of cases of survivaland prognostic analysis of prognostic factors. This set of data using theKaplan-Meier survival analysis, univariate analysis using the Log-Rank test. When P <0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference. Results: In this study, the Male to female ratio is1.17:1.The youngest patient is 7days, the oldest one is12months, the median onset age is4months. Primarytumor in the adrenal tumor District7patients (53.8%), neck three cases (23.1%),3cases of retroperitoneal (23.1%).Primary focal tumor diameter <7cm of8cases (61.5%),>7cm in5of cases (38.5%); INSS stage for Ⅰstage in6cases(46.2%), Ⅱstage in0cases, Ⅲ stage in1case (7.7%), Ⅳ stage in2cases(15.4%), Ⅳs stage in4cases (30.7%). There were9patients received operativetreatments. The treatments are complete tumor excision. Ⅰstage in6cases, Ⅲstage in1case, Ⅳs stage in2cases. Resection rate was69.2%(Ⅰstage was100%, the stage Ⅲ, Ⅳ period andⅣs was42.9%). There were3patientsreceived chemotherapy,2of them received preoperative chemotherapy,1ofthem received postoperative chemotherapy. With11cases received follow-up in13cases, follow-up rate was84.6%, the follow-up time was1~67months,mean follow-up time of20.9months. Among them7cases of disease-freesurvival,4cases of death due to disease progression. The survival time of theshortest is2months, the longest is67months, the median survival time was15months. Overall survival rates were63.6%.The clinical staging and surgical hasinfluence to the prognosis of infants’ Neuroblastoma, surgery is independentfactors affect prognosis of infants’ Neuroblastoma.Conclusion:1. The prognosis of infants’ neuroblastoma is better than patients older thanolder children. 2. Complete resection of the primary tumor is an important prognostic factor.3.Ⅰstage cases of infants’neuroblastoma after complete resection of thetumor, can be without postoperative chemotherapy.4.ⅣS stage cases of infants’neuroblastoma after complete resection of theprimary focal tumor foundation, can be based on reductions inchemotherapy-month-old children.5.The serum NSE of infants’ neuroblastoma can be used as diagnosis andprognosis indicators.6.Urinary VMA of infants’ neuroblastoma can be used as screening andfollow-up indicators.
