Objective: to study the correlations of the non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) in patients with blood tumor markers and the gene mutation ofepidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), analysis the consistent rate andclinical characteristics of them, compare advantages and disadvantages of thetwo methods, and explore the feasibility of substitute for the blood tumormarkers instead of EGFR testing. Methods: analysis the condition of276NSCLC patients with EGFRmutation and the result of blood tumor markers (CEA,CA125, CA724,CA19-9and CY21-1) in the tumor hospital of Guangxi medical university from October2011to October2011retrospectively, and process the data statistically.Use SPSS16.0software to do the Spearman rank test, for the result ofEGFR mutations in patients with NSCLC and the blood tumor markers, and the estimation and inspection of the area under the ROC curve. Results:positive correlation between blood tumor markers CEA and EGFRmutations (rs=0.171, P=0.171<0.05), and no correlation between blood tumormarkers CA125and CA724, CA19-9, CY21-1with EGFR mutations (P>0.05).But according to the estimation and inspection of the area under the curveby the area under the ROC curve, the area is only0.593.Conclusion: the blood tumor markers CEA have certain predicationalability to the mutations in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), but it is not a substitute for EGFRgene detects as expected epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinaseinhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) as the predicational index of drug efficacy.
