| Objective To find the relationship of serum N-terminal-pro-brainnatriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels in CAPD patients with their bloodvolume overloads and cardiac function, and analysis the influence factor ofNT-proBNP.Methods104peritoneal dialysis(PD) patients’NT-proBNP levels werecompared to normal control group, and they were divided into differentperitoneal transport types according to the peritoneal balance tests, thus, thedifference in NT-proBNP levels among patients with different types and therelation between NT-proBNP levels and other volume overload indexes wereanalysed, and find the influence factor and assess the clinical significance ofNT-proBNP levels in CAPD patients. Results The CAPD patients’NT-proBNP level was obviously increasedcompared to control group, and the difference wasstatistically significant.Compare NT-proBNP levels among different peritonealtransport type PD patients, the difference between each groups wasstatistically significant too. In addition, there was a positive correlation between CAPD patients’NT-proBNP levels and transport types, and the level of PDpatients with high transport type was increased most obviously, and lowertransport type ones was increased less(P<0.05). Patients with daily urine volume>100ml tended to have lower serum NT-proBNP leves than those with dailyurine volume≤100ml,and the difference was statistically significant(F=5.744,P=0.018).Patients with Kt/V>1.7tended to have lower serum NT-proBNP levesthan those with Kt/V≤1.7,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Patients with total Ccr≥50L/week had lower serum NT-proBNP levesthan those with Ccr<50L/week,but the difference was not statisticallysignificant(P>0.05).NT-proBNP level was positively correlated with edema, systolic blood pressure, intake, serum creatinine, high density lipoprotein, cardiothoracic ratio, cardiac shadow, LVEDD,LVESD,LVST and LVD.Meanwhile, NT-proBNP level was negatively correlated with age stages, residual renal Kt/V, residual renal Ccr, Hb, Alb, Ca and LVEF.Conclusion NT-proBNP level in CAPD patients was all increasedgenerally, and it was different in different peritoneal transport type patients, closely related to the effective indexes for evaluation of blood volume overload, and there is a certain correlation with residual renal function, anemia andnutritional status. |
