Objective: To investigate the levels of Carbohydrate Antigen125and tumor necrosisfactor-alpha (TNFα) in serum and peritoneal fluid of patients with endometriosis.Methods:52patients with endometriosis (Endometriosis group)were divided intotwo groups:The I-II stage patients(21cases) were the first group, the III一IV stagepatients(31cases) were the second group,52patients with hysteromyoma were theControl group. Enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) was used to determinethe level of TNFα and protein chips was used to determine the level of CA125.Results:(1)The endometriosis group: the concentration of serum CA125is(39.19±15.24)U/ml, the concentration of serum TNFα is (26.96±11.20)pg/ml.Thecontrol group: the concentration of serum CA125is (25.54±9.76)U/ml, theconcentration of serum TNFα is (11.94±5.28)pg/ml, the concentration of serum CA125and TNFα in the endometriosis group is higher than the control group, the comparisonwas statistically significant (P <0.05).(2) Group I (I–II stage): the serum CA125concentration is (40.43±15.96) U/ml, concentration of TNFα is (24.85±13.85) pg/ml,group II (III–IV stage):the serum CA125concentration is (38.29±15.32) U/ml,concentration of TNFα is (28.40±8.96) pg/ml, the serum CA125and TNFα of the twogroups have no statistical significance (P>0.05);(3)The endometriosis group: theconcentration of peritoneal fluid CA125is (326.11±121.00)U/ml, the concentration ofperitoneal fluid TNFα is (47.50±20.40)pg/ml.The control group: the concentration ofperitoneal fluid CA125is (153.45±61.30)U/ml, the concentration of peritoneal fluidTNFα is (153.45±61.30)U/ml, the concentration of peritoneal fluid CA125and TNFα inthe endometriosis group is higher than the control group, the comparison wasstatistically significant (P <0.05).(4) group I (I–II stage) The peritoneal fluidCA125concentration is (316.66±134.06) U/ml, and the concentration of TNFα is (41.44±21.23)pg/ml, group II (III–IV stage) The peritoneal fluid CA125concentration is (392.89±102.40) U/ml, and the concentration of TNFα is(53.22±20.13)pg/ml, the peritoneal fluid CA125and TNFα of patients in group II issignificantly higher than g the peritoneal fluid CA125and TNFα of patients in group I,the comparison was statistically significant (P <0.05);(5) The two groups of patientswith serum CA125concentration is (39.19±15.24) U/ml, concentration of TNFα is(26.96±11.20) pg/ml, peritoneal fluid CA125concentration is (326.11±121.00) U/ml,concentration of TNFα is (47.50±20.40) pg/ml, the peritoneal fluid CA125and TNFαconcentration were higher than the concentration of serum CA125and TNFα, thecomparison was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: The levels of CA125and TNFα in the serum and peritoneal fluid are closely related to endometriosis. Theperitoneal fluid in monitoring of endometriosis may be more sensitive and reliable thanthe serum.
