Object: Study of the expression level of E-cadherin(E-Cad)in theserum、villus and decidua of in missed abortion patients, and investigate thepathogenesis of missed abortion, and provide a theoretical basis andexperimental basis for its early diagnosis and clinical treatment. Methods: The study was carried out on25patients with missedabortion (experimental group) and25normal women in early pregnancy(control group). The serum level of E-Cad was detected by ELISA. TheDetermination of E-Cad protein expression in chorionic villi and decidua inImmunohistochemistry after abortion.Results:1. Concentration of missed abortion group of maternal serumE-Cad was (2.96±0.51) ng/mL, significantly higher than the control group(2.02±0.43) ng/mL, there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.0001).2. E-Cad is mainly expressed in villi trophoblastic cell membrane, theexpression level of E-Cad protein in villi of missed abortion group wassignificantly higher than that in normal pregnancy group, the two groups had statistical significance difference in expression level (P <0.0001).3. E-Cad is mainly expressed in the decidual glandular cells, decidual stromalcells showed no positive expression, the expression level of E-Cad protein indecidua of missed abortion group was significantly higher than that in normalpregnancy group, the two groups had statistical significance difference inexpression level (P <0.0001).Conclusion: Expression level of serum, decidua and villus tissueE-Cad were increased in missed abortion patients, indicated that Causes ofmissed abortion may be associated with increased E-Cad. The mechanism maybe that abnormally high expression of E-Cad may decline the invasive ability oftrophoblast cells, may effect the differentiation and proliferation of trophoblastcells, and block the placenta implantation and vascular remodeling and lead toabortion.
