The Detection Of Multiple Drug Resistnce Strains Of Helicobacter Pylori And In Vitro Bacteriostatic Effect Of Berberin, Emodin, Schisandra And Baicalin

Objective: To examine the multiple drug resistance of helicobacter pylori(H． pylori) and the in vitro bacteriostasis effect of Berberine， emodin,Schisandra, baicalin on multiple drug resistance (MDR) strains of H．pylori，toprovide experimental basis for clinical killing of these MDR strains.Methods: After culturing and isolating strains of forty-six H．pylori, theminimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of amoxicillin, clarithromycin,levofloxacin, tetracycline and metronidazole for the isolated strains weredetermined by agar dilution method to screen MDR strains. The MIC ofberberine, emodin, Schisandra, baicalin for MDR strains were than determined.Results: According to the results of five kinds of antibiotics susceptibilitytest，Six MDR strains were identified in forty-six H．pylori, the rate of multipledrug resistance was13%。The MIC of berberine, baicalin，emodin, Schisandrafor different MDR strains were not identical, their ranges were: berberine12.5mg/mL, emodin50-200mg/mL, baicalin25-200mg/mL, Schisandra 50-100mg/mL. Among them, the bacteriostatic effect of berberine was moresignificat than baicalin，the baicalin was more significat than emodin andSchisandra, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); thebacteriostatic effect of emodin and Schisandra were roughly equal, thedifference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusions: There is high rate of multiple drug resistance in H．pyloriisolated from clinical patients，which is13%. Each of berberine, emodin,Schisandra, baicalin has an appreciated bacteriostatic effect for MDR strains invitro, and the effect of berberine is most significan, baicalin is more significantthan emodin and Schisandra, emodin and Schisandra is roughly equal.
