Objective:To explore the relationship between movement of diaphragm and rate of success in ventilator weaning of severe patients. Methods:Seventy patients with ventilator were included in this study. Bilateral diaphragmatic movement was measured by ultrasound before ventilator weaning, independent samples t-test was applied to compare the difference of men and women. All patients were implemented ventilator weaning. Patients with better diaphragmatic mobility were group A, and others were group B. Chi-square test was used between group A and B on the rate of successful weaning. Results:There was no significant difference of the diaphragmatic mobility between male and female (t=-1.004, P=0.319, P>0.05); The rate of successful weaning of group A was higher than that of group B.Conclusion:The diaphragmatic mobility measured by ultrasonography may be one of the indicators of ventilator weaning in severe patients. |
