| Objective: By Gemstone CT gemstone spectral imaging (GSI) make the evaluation of carotidsclerosis patients with carotid artery plaque, combined with inflammatory factor both highsensitive C reactive protein (hypersensitive C-reactive protein, Hs-CRP) and monocytechemotactic protein1(MCP-1), to assess the stability of carotid plaque.Methods:42patients diagnosed by carotid artery ultrasound with Carotid artery plaque as thecase group,19patients with normal carotid artery at the same periods as the control group.Eliminate the state of disease what may affect the expression of inflammatory factor. Patients incase group take the examination of gemstone spectral imaging CTA scan of head and neck, laterthrough GSI software,The patients with carotid plaques were divided into unstable plaquegroup(17cases)and stable plaque group(25cases) as two sub groups, plaque composition in eachsub groups take the determination of calcium content. All patients are drew the venous bloodsamples, with the determination of Hs-CRP concentration in serum by immunoturbidimetry, thedetermination of MCP-1concentration in serum by enzyme linked immunosorbentassay(ELISA).Results: The Hs-CRP(mg/L) in serum of unstable plaque group, stable plaque group and normalcontrol group were14.74±4.91,2.65±1.62,1.22±0.75; MCP-1(pg/ml) in serum of that were467.13±66.28,351.84±81.89,153.64±49.79. The calcium content(g/L) of plaques in unstableplaque group and stable plaque group were3.23士2.69ã€16.24士4.38. The Hs-CRP level inunstable plaque group was significantly higher than that of the stable plaque group and normalcontrol group (P <0.01), in stable plaque group and normal control group, the mean of Hs-CRPlevels in serum had no significant difference (P=0.128); The MCP-1levels of unstable plaquegroup and stable plaque group were significantly higher than the normal control group (P <0.01),the MCP-1levels of unstable plaque group was significantly higher than stable plaque group (P<0.01).The calcium content of plaque in unstable plaque group was significantly higher thanstable plaque group (P <0.01).It was negative correlation between the calcium content of plaqueand the Hs-CRP level in serum, r=-0.679; and it was negative correlation between the calciumcontent of plaque and the MCP-1level in serum, r=-0.455.Conclusion: Gemstone CT gemstone spectral imaging is a new method to study of carotid atherosclerotic plaque. The Hs-CRP level in serum increased significantly in patients of unstableplaques in carotid artery, suggesting that Hs-CRP may predict atherosclerosis plaqueinstability; The MCP-1level in serum gradually increased in each group, suggesting that MCP-1may be play an important role in the development of atherosclerosis. |
