Background: The malignant carcinoma is one of the serious diseases that areendangering the human health.Though the treatment of the tumor in china hasmade great progress, the main therapeutic methods operation remain, chemotherapy, radiotherapy immunotherapy and targeted therapy etc,and thetumor thermotherapy(Hyperthermia) is appearing as the another kind of tumortherapeutic method following above-mentioned methods.Hyperthermia on tumor has a history of over100years or even longer, butthe real scientific study of it only started30years ago. When theheating temperature reaches43℃, tumor cells will necrosis. Heating willincrease blood circulation, but will it bring negative effects? When the heatingtemperature is41-42℃, whether it can induce or accelerate tumor metastasis, and the main problems of treatment failure of malignant tumor are recurrenceand metastasis. Following the above mentioned method, hyperthermia is anothermethod of treating cancer. The method is especially suitable for patients wholost opportunity of surgical treatment and had immunocompromised. So westudy on hyperthermia.Objective:1.Explore whether Hyperthermia has the effect tochemotherapy.2.Explore the Hyperthermia effect of the human’S bodyimmunity (T cells).Methods:1. Color Doppler is used to measure the changes of local tumor bloodvessels PSV,RI and PI values before and after hyperthermia. SPSS17.0for paired t test is used for statistical analysis.2. Flow cytometry (FCM) is used to measure peripheral blood T cell subsetsbefore and after thermotherapy in patients, independent t test and paired t testare used for statistical analysis.Results:1. Changes superficial/local tumor metastasis in55patients:PSV,RI andPI before and after hyperthermia, statistical analysis respectively, thedifference was statistically significant (P<0.05).2. The therapeutic effect of10cases of chemotherapy were observed, including disease stability(SD):5cases (50%),Partial remission (PR):2cases(20%),the disease progression (PD):1cases(10%),death:1cases(10%),notevaluated:1cases (10%).3.119cases of chemotherapy and hyperthermia(experimental group) of thetumor patients before chemotherapy and after hyperthermia T cell subsets (CD3,CD4, CD8, NK, CD4/CD8) comparison, the CD4, CD4/CD8beforechemotherapy and after hyperthermia, P<0.05, the difference was statisticallysignificant.4.107cases of chemotherapy alone (control group) before and afterchemotherapy in patients with tumor of T cell subsets (CD3, CD4, CD8, NK,CD4/CD8) comparison.Comparison CD8before chemotherapy and afterchemotherapy,P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant.5.119cases of chemotherapy and hyperthermia (experimental group) of thetumor patients before and after chemotherapy whose the difference of T cellsubsets (CD3, CD4, CD8, NK, CD4/CD8) compared with107cases ofindividual chemotherapy (control group) of the tumor patients before and afterchemotherapy. The experimental group and the control group CD4、CD8andCD4/CD8P<0.05,and there was significant difference.Conclusion:1. Hyperthermia can expand blood vessel of the local tumor, reduce the bloodvessel pulsatility index, vascular resistance, so as to increase drugconcentration in local tumor, thus sensitizing effect on chemotherapy.2. The rate of heat chemotherapy combined with tumor local disease controlis not lower than that of the pure chemotherapy patients.3. Hyperthermia can stimulate the immune reaction, increase the content of CD4cells, increase the content of CD8cells. hyperthermia can influencethe ratio of CD4/CD8,hyperthermia has a positive impact on the human bodyimmunity.
