| Objective:To observe the impact on Post-stroke depression (PSD) patients with depressive symptoms, limb function, GABA by Tongduzhiyu Acupuncture Method. To explore the relationship between PSD and GABA. To provide a reliable basis for clinical treatment.Methods:1. Sixty patients with post-stroke depression patients met the diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into treatment group(n=30) and control group (n=30),both groups were given routine drug, acupuncture and psychological treatment and functional rehabilitation of physical exercise. On this basis, the patients in treatment group were treated by acupuncture with "Tongduzhiyu Acupuncture", Baihui (DU20), Renzhong (DU26), Fengfu (DU16), Fengchi (GB20), Neiguan (PC6), Shenmen (HT7), Hegu (LI4) and Taichong (LR3) were selected, Acupuncture treatment once a day, was kept30min and line of needles twice each course, four weeks for a course, a total of two courses. The control group were treated with western medicine fluoxetine20mg once a day early morning serving Dayton, a total of eight weeks. It was observed that the two groups of patients of the changes of the pre-treatment, the treatment of the4th weekend and the8th weekend GABA, Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) and Chinese stroke scale of clinical neurologic deficit grade(CSS) score.2. To do statistical analysis by SPSS17.0software package. Write the data as x±s (mean±SD), compared the data of the two groups by/test, and described the count data by frequency and percentage and taken the test by chi-square test, and establish that P<0.05means significant difference,P<0.01means very significant difference and P>0.05means no significant difference. At the same time, to be observed clinical adverse events in the course of treatment.Results:1.the changes of GABA At the4th week after treatment, compared with before treatment, the value of GABA were significantly increased both in the Treatment group and Control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05);At the8th week after treatment, the value of GABA were significantly increased in the two groups (P<0.01), but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).It was points out that, the value of GABA were significantly improved both in the two groups after the second course of treatment, there was also has none significant difference between the two groups.2. the changes of HAMD scoreAt the4th week after treatment, compared with before treatment, the scores of HAMD were significantly reduced in the Treatment group (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the Control group (P>0.05),there was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05); At the8th week after treatment, the scores of HAMD were significantly reduced both in the Treatment group and Control group (P<0.01), but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05); The HAMD total effective rate was have no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).3. the changes of CSS scoreAt the4th week after treatment, compared with before treatment, the CSS scores of the two groups had significant difference(P<0.05),compared between the two groups that the scores had no significant difference (P>0.05). At the8th week after treatment, the scores of the two groups CSS had significant difference (P<0.01) than before treatment, and the treatment group also showed significant differences (P<0.01) to control group.Conclusion:1. Tongduzhiyu Acupuncture can increase GABA contents significantly.2.Tongduzhiyu Acupuncture can improve PSD patients’depressive symptoms and limb function significantly. And with the increase of treatment, acupuncture is superior to western medicine in the improvement of PSD patients’limb function significantly.3.During the treatment, side effects in treatment group was significantly less than the control group. Therefore, the "Tongduzhiyu Acupuncture" for treating post-stroke depression have achieved a good clinical effect and had less side effects.4.The clinical mechanism of "Tongduzhiyu Acupuncture" in PSD patients may be associated with increased serum GABA levels. |
