Effect Of Electro-acupuncture On NO In Serum And Blood-fat HDL-c、LDL-c With Cerebral Ischemia

The main body of this book has researched the brain protective mechanism andits anti-oxidation of electro-acupuncture on acute focal cerebral ischelnia by theories,experiments and clinical observation three parts.In the part of theoretical research, We have discussed the significance and thebase of the experimental design by the overview and review articles of TCM onischemia blood-stroke, the effect of the road of NO in blood-stroke, the recentinvestigative developments of acupuncture on it, the influence of acupuncture onHyperlipemia.In the part of experimental research, we have observed the change of the level ofNO and NOS in serum, and evaluated the scores of the nervous behavior, in order tostudy the anti-oxidation of electro-acupuncture and its influence to the road of NO.We used 39 SD rats, which had been randomized into normal group, sham-operationgroup, electro-acupuncture group, sham-electro-acupuncture group, model group, tocontrast the difference of between them. Results are as follows: In model group: thelevel of NO and reactivity of NOS in serum increase significantly. The scores of thenervous behavior is much lower than those in sham-operation group. Inelectro-acupuncture group: compared with model group, the level of NO andreactivity of NOS in serum decrease significantly, the scores of the nervous behavioris much higher. In sham-electro-acupuncture group: compared with model group, thelevel of NO and reactivity of NOS in serum decrease significantly, its scores of thenervous behavior is lower too, but its scores of the nervous behavior is much higherthan those in electro-acupuncture group.In the part of clinical research, we have compared the level of NO, HDL-c andLDL-c in blood of 37 patients with cerebral infarction, who accompany Hyperlipemiaand whose course of disease have exceeded 4w, observed the difference of them.Results are as follows: in control group, there is NO significant difference betweenpre-therapy and post-treatment on the level of NO, HDL-c and LDL-c in blood, P＜0.05. In acupuncture treatment group, there is NO significant difference betweenpre-therapy and post-treatment on the level of HDL-c and LDL-c in blood, P＜0.05,but there is significant difference on the level of NO, P＞0.05. There is NO significant difference in two groups before treatment on these indexes, P＞0.05; but it issignificant difference after treatment, P＜0.05. Compared the clinical curative effect,we can get that: Acupuncture can help blood-stoke patients to do well the neurologicimpairment.The conclusions in this research are as follows: Electro-acupuncture has andefinite protective effect on the damage of brain by acute focal cerebral ischemia. Itsmechanism of therapeutical effect of electro-acupuncture may be carried out byaccommodating the road of NO. Electro-acupuncture maybe prevent and reverse theinjury of oxygen free radical, neurocyte and cellular organ per-oxidation, thus reducethe injury of neuron cerebral ischemia. The research results also have provided animportant scientific evidence for clinical application of acupuncture.
