Wang Zhidao (1093-1169), from Wuwei, Anhui. As most ancient Chinese men, he hadanother name Yanyou, and he also purported himself as Xiangshan Jushi. The poems, article and185Ci which he wrote in all his life are were formed one book, named with his pseudonym,Xiangshan. The research of him or his book is rarely so far. Object of this thesis is Wang Zhidaohimself and his Ci. A chronicle of his life and translation of his Ci are basic work of my thesis.The thesis consists of two parts. Part one is about chronicle of Wang Zhidao’s life and thought.Characteristics of the times we can found in XiangShan Ji is also belongs to this part. Part twotreat XiangShan Ci as one part of Wang Zhidao’s daily life. The abundant emotions contain inXiangShan Ci are important content for this part. Narrative and colloquial are main features ofXiangShan Ci, which must be pay special attention to. And what I want to is bring honor forWang Zhidao as much as his achievement.
